The Friends of St John’s Meads (known as The Friends) is a charity actively involved in the life of the school, run by a parents and carers volunteering their spare time.

What do The Friends do?

We run regular events, such as Uniform and Cake sales, Christmas and Summer Fayres, Quiz Nights and Sponsorship events; all to raise money for the school and to create fun memories for the children. We also support school events such as Open Days and Sports Day.

How is the funding used?

The money we raise helps to fund school initiatives. For example, we subsidise school trips, pay for educational equipment, improve playground facilities and tackle renovations. Everything we fund benefits all the children of St John’s Meads.

We are so grateful for all offers of help. Being part of The Friends is a lot of fun! Most of us juggle regular jobs, so we fit meetings around our schedules and give whatever time we can.
