At St John’s Meads C of E Primary School, our Early Years curriculum is rooted in our Christian vision and the values that shape our school community: love, independence, generosity, honesty and teamwork. These values guide every aspect of our provision, ensuring that children feel known, nurtured and inspired as they begin their learning journey.

We aim to create a rich, joyful and inclusive environment where every child feels loved, valued and safe to explore. Through carefully planned play, meaningful interactions and high quality teaching, we support children to develop independence, curiosity and confidence. Our curriculum encourages children to work collaboratively, showing generosity of spirit, and build positive relationships grounded in honesty and respect.

As a Church of England school, we seek to help children understand their place in God’s world, recognising their unique gifts and the importance of caring for others. Our Early Years provision lays the foundations for lifelong learning, enabling children to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
