  • Good Punctuality

Why Good Punctuality Matters at Our School

We believe every morning is a fresh opportunity for all children to learn, grow, and flourish. Arriving on time helps your child start the day calmly, confidently, and ready to engage.

    • Learning begins the moment children enter the classroom, so even a few minutes late can mean missing important teaching.
    • Gates open at 8.30am, where senior leaders will greet all children personally. Children will be met at their classroom entrance by the teaching team and all children should be in school by 8.50am when the register is taken.
    • Children arriving after this time must be signed in at the office and will receive a late mark.

    Punctuality supports:

    • A smooth and settled start to the day
    • Strong learning habits
    • Confidence and a sense of belonging
    • Access to key teaching, including phonics in Reception and Key Stage 1

Missed minutes lead to missed learning and missed opportunities. By arriving on time each day, children can make the most of every moment in our caring Christian community.
