Enrichment provides experiences that broaden children’s horizons and help them flourish.
Our programme is organised across six strands:
These activities are closely linked to the curriculum and are designed to deepen learning, build confidence and develop key skills. Music, drama and performance also play an important role in strengthening pupils’ oracy and self‑expression.
Every child matters. We make sure that 100% of pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who are disadvantaged, take part in at least one enrichment activity each term across all six strands. This is part of our promise to provide equity and opportunity for all.
In Term 1 we offered 24 different activities across all six strands. In Term 2 this expanded to 28 activities, including a pantomime trip, construction club and art club.
We want every child to join in. We provide some funded places, help transport, reasonable adjustments and adult support and targeted invitations so that no child misses out.

We keep detailed registers by strand and pupil group, listen to pupil voice and gather staff feedback. School leaders oversees participation to make sure inclusion is real, not just a promise.
Every SEND and disadvantaged pupil took part in enrichment in Term 1 and Term 2, with representation across all six strands. Children tell us they feel more confident, included and inspired. Staff notice better engagement in lessons, improved attendance and punctuality, and stronger self‑regulation. We have also seen more pupils stepping into leadership roles, showing that enrichment builds citizenship as well as skills.
