Welcome to our Year 2/3 Class! This year, our class is a mixed-age Year 2 and Year 3 class. Children will learn together in a nurturing and engaging environment, with teaching carefully planned to meet the needs of both year groups while encouraging independence, teamwork and a love of learning.
Hello, I am Mrs Bettles.
I have been teaching at St John’s for 8 years now and taught at a school in St-Leonards for 4 years prior. I have taught all year groups from Reception to Year 6 and enjoy them all. I am delighted to be teaching Year 2 and 3 this year, which is where I first began my career.
I work on a Monday and Tuesday. My passions are reading, writing, PSHE and RE. I also love outdoor learning and nature. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my two little boy, reading, knitting and baking.
Hello! I am Mrs Loaring!
Teaching has been a huge part of my life since 2004, and over the past 22 years I have had the privilege of teaching children across all key stages. Being part of the St John’s community is something I feel incredibly proud of. There is a wonderful sense of togetherness within our school, with dedicated staff, enthusiastic children and supportive families all helping to make St John’s such a special place. I feel privileged to be part of a team that puts children at the heart of everything we do, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to be the very best they can be. I’m really looking forward to the year ahead and all the wonderful learning, laughter and adventures we’ll share together in Pebbles Class.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my three active children, who definitely keep me on my toes! When I do find some quiet time, I love getting lost in a good bookshop, discovering new stories and choosing my next read. I have a real passion for travel too and love exploring new places, experiencing different cultures and making special memories with my family!
